An agent is a separate Claude worker that handles a task. A foreground agent is one the main conversation is waiting on. In a cloud session, the machine running it can restart. Agents cut off by that restart used to be only listed in a note to Claude. They are now resumed automatically.
The step that wakes the session afterwards is told which agents were resumed, so it does not announce them again. The note about cut-off agents is now written separately for agents that were resumed and agents that were not.
The two settings that control waking a cloud session after a restart fall back to on unless they are switched off remotely.
Recovery after a restart now restarts interrupted agent work instead of only telling Claude it was lost.
