A foreground agent is one the main conversation is waiting on. In a cloud session, the machine running it can restart. Agents cut off by that restart used to be only listed in a note to Claude. They are now resumed automatically.\n\nThe step that wakes the session afterwards is told which agents were resumed, so it does not announce them again. The note about cut-off agents is now written separately for agents that were resumed and agents that were not.\n\nThe two settings that control waking a cloud session after a restart fall back to on unless they are switched off remotely.\n\n**Why**\n\nRecovery after a restart now restarts interrupted agent work instead of only telling Claude it was lost.\n\n- Flag `tengu_ccr_orphan_restore_wake`: Not enough to say (read for one account on one subscription tier against v2.1.311; this account: no value returned, anonymous baseline: no value returned, compiled default: on) These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.\n- Flag `tengu_ccr_orphan_restore_wake_shells`: Not enough to say (read for one account on one subscription tier against v2.1.311; this account: no value returned, anonymous baseline: no value returned, compiled default: on) These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.\n- Area: Background Agents\n- Tier: You'll notice\n- Useful: 3\/5\n- Signal: 3\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: no"}
