When Claude Code publishes an artifact, it sets up a subscription so that new comments on it arrive as they are posted. An artifact is a piece of output you can share. This setup now runs as a separate step. That step is also called when an artifact is published through MCP, the Model Context Protocol that connects Claude Code to outside tools.
