What

Sometimes several prompts you send are merged into one message, for example when you type while Claude is still working. Claude Code now has a way to keep track of which original messages went into a merged send. It uses this when you rewind (go back to an earlier point in the conversation) and when deciding whether a turn was left unanswered.

This is behind a remotely controlled switch, tengu_mellow_heron, which is off unless it is switched on remotely. The flag server returned off for this site's account and for the anonymous baseline in readings taken before this release.

Why

It aims to make rewind and resume work properly for prompts that were merged or queued.

Nothing here resolved what this flag was doing on this version, so nothing here should be read as on or off.

This account: no value returned · anonymous baseline: off · compiled default in v2.1.299: off

These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.

What has happened since
Flag reading moved The flag server now returns nothing at all, having stopped carrying it for tengu_mellow_heron, read as this account. A reading is one sample. Claude Code evaluates its flags remotely, so no client sees the targeting rule behind a value and this says nothing about your account.
