What
A skill is a set of instructions Claude can use for a particular task, written in a file called SKILL.md. When Claude proposes a skill for you to review, Claude Code now checks the proposed file. A file with no instructions is rejected, and Claude is told to send the complete file again and not to propose deleting the skill.
Before, the proposed file was not checked.
Why
An empty skill file could not be saved from the review card, the panel where you look over a proposed skill. The check stops such a proposal reaching you.
