What
Skills are saved sets of instructions Claude can use. Claude can suggest changes to a skill through a review card that you accept or decline. When the skill in question is not one of your own, Claude is now told that the review card cannot update it, and to propose a new skill under its own name instead.
Why
Suggestions about skills you did not write now come as a new skill rather than an edit to the existing one.
