Claude Code now sets up a component for rewinding a pending turn, alongside the code that handles taking things back with the Esc key. Nearly every action it offers is empty in this build:
its checks for whether it may wait, or cut in ahead of what you are typing, always answer no
its rewind step always reports that nothing was rewound
its steps for bringing text back or holding it until a stop do nothing
Only its record-keeping for hidden rows does any work.
Why
Anything that would rely on rewinding a pending turn is effectively off in this release, even though the part is in place.
