What
When you move a local session to the cloud with --cloud (or its older name --remote), Claude Code now first prepares a summary of the conversation. The move is refused when:
- the summary step could not be started
- no summary was produced
- the conversation changed after the summary was made
The dialog that asks "What should Claude do next?" now lets you type while the summary is still being prepared. Pressing enter waits until the summary is ready and then sends your prompt. Before, enter sent the prompt straight away.
Why
The cloud session starts from a summary that matches the conversation you actually had, and you do not have to wait before writing your next instruction.
