Unclear It is not known what turns on the longer-lasting loop option or which tool it uses.

What

/loop runs a prompt again and again on a timer. In a cloud session, /loop now adds a note that the timer lives in the session's container, the temporary machine the session runs on, and may not fire once that container is released. Claude is told to mention this when it confirms the loop.

When a further switch is on, Claude can also offer a loop that keeps running after the container is released, using a tool from a connector.

Why

It stops you from expecting a cloud loop to keep running after the session's machine has gone away.
