DisclaimerUnofficial, and not affiliated with Anthropic. Nearly all of this is read straight out of what ships: npm bundles, captured prompts, published docs. Anthropic's own notes go in verbatim, marked as theirs. The rest is my reading, and every entry carries the strings behind it. If one looks wrong, vote it down and say why.

Reference / Slash commands

/loop

A Claude Code slash command, read out of the shipped bundle. No mined inventory carries it: everything below comes from what this site has written about it.

What it is

[Skill](/docs/en/skills#bundled-skills). Run a prompt repeatedly while the session stays open. Omit the interval and Claude [self-paces between iterations](/docs/en/scheduled-tasks#let-claude-choose-the-interval). Omit the prompt and Claude runs the [built-in maintenance prompt](/docs/en/scheduled-tasks#run-the-built-in-maintenance-prompt) or your [loop.md](/docs/en/scheduled-tasks#customize-the-default-prompt-with-loop-md). Example: /loop 5m check if the deploy finished. See [Run prompts on a schedule](/docs/en/scheduled-tasks). Alias: /proactive

Anthropic's own wording. Read off Commands, captured 2026-08-28.

Presence across releases

The miner has never read a build containing this name. It is here because a changelog entry of ours names it, which is evidence that it existed and not evidence of which releases carried it. The inventory starts at v2.1.138 and everything older than that was never mined.

Changelog entries naming it

  1. v2.1.248Autonomous /loop tick prompts now work for everyone

The /loop tick prompt is no longer behind a remote flag and works for everyone.

  2. v2.1.248Loop keepalive is on by default

Self-paced loops now keep going until the budget is spent instead of stopping early.

  3. v2.1.248/loop always offers the self-paced form

/loop always shows the interval as optional; the old 10m default wording is gone.

  4. v2.1.248Self-pacing /loop wakeups no longer blocked by a runtime switch

Long-running /loop can schedule its own wake-ups now that the server switch check is gone.

Documentation pages

A reference table page is one whose own table defines this name, and it is where the description above came from. A page that mentions it carries the name somewhere in its text and may say nothing about it at all. Every page carrying it.

Read out of the published npm bundle release by release, and out of Anthropic's own documentation as this site captured it. Nothing on this page is a description anybody here wrote about what the slash command does. All slash commands.
