What
When the container Claude Code runs in restarts, Claude gets a reminder about the background tasks that stopped. It used to say only to re-create them if still needed. When one of the stopped tasks is a background shell command or a background monitor, and a further check passes, the reminder now also says:
Every process left running is likely stopped a few minutes after each reply
Commands that must finish should run in the foreground with a long timeout
Otherwise Claude should tell you
Why
In hosted sessions that stop background processes, Claude is steered away from starting long jobs in the background that would quietly be cut off.
