Unclear Whether this changes how number keys behave for readers is not shown.

What

Claude Code now keeps a count of things that want to capture number keypresses, and can tell when at least one does. This suggests that typing a digit may sometimes go to something other than the prompt box where you type.

Why

On its own this is bookkeeping. Any visible change to how number keys act, for example in dialogs, would come from whatever uses this count.
