Syntax highlighting colours code so it is easier to read. Claude Code can now hand this job to a worker, a separate piece of the program that runs alongside the main one. When no worker is given, it highlights code in the main process as before.
Why
This may cut down on the screen freezing briefly when Claude shows a large block of code.
