What
Syntax highlighting is the colouring that makes code easier to read. Each message now has a set amount of highlighting work it can use, shared across all its code blocks. Once that is used up, later code blocks are shown as plain text.
A single notice appears once to say so: "Syntax highlighting stops here. This message has more code than is highlighted at once."
Why
Messages with a lot of code should show up faster. The trade-off is that the later code in them has no colour.
