What

Staged files are files copied into a cloud session ahead of time. There was already a note that told the model some staged files had not been placed. Claude Code now has a second note, for files that are still being copied. It tells the model that the copy has not failed and may take a few more minutes. It also tells the model not to tell you the files are missing and not to ask you to send them again.

Both notes depend on the same remote switch, tengu_ochre_dunlin, which is off unless it is turned on remotely. When the switch is off, Claude Code only records that the note would have been sent, and the model gets no note. In readings taken before this release, the flag server returned off for this site's account and for an anonymous check.

Why

This only matters in cloud sessions that use staged files, and only where the switch is on. In those sessions, Claude is less likely to report slow-copying files as missing or to ask you for them again.

tengu_ochre_dunlin Off in both readings

The flag server returned off for the account this site reads and for the anonymous baseline. A reading of off cannot rule out a rollout these two readings sit outside of.

This account: off · anonymous baseline: off · compiled default in v2.1.312: off

These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.
