Unclear Whether ordinary third-party plugins can use prompt.paint, or only managed ones, is not known.

What

The list of hooks that plugins can use gains prompt.paint. A hook is a point where a plugin can step in and change what Claude Code does. This one checks the text and decorations it is given and returns whether anything was drawn, the text, and the cursor position.

Why

It gives plugins a way to decorate the box where you type your prompt.
