Unclear It is not clear whether MCP servers can actually supply settings through the new layer.

What

Claude Code combines settings from several places in a fixed order. That order now has an mcpMount layer between session settings and command settings. MCP refers to outside programs that give Claude extra tools.

Claude Code also now saves a list of security warnings you have already seen, so it is kept between runs.

Why

The new layer suggests MCP servers may be able to supply settings. The saved list suggests a security warning you have dismissed may stay dismissed.
