What
A background session is a Claude Code conversation that runs without a terminal window attached. When one has finished and can be resumed, the command line now prints that you can run claude attach <id> to resume it.
The agents view, which lists these sessions, now says the session's process exited and that you can press Enter to resume it because the conversation is saved. It used to say the session had ended and send you back to the list.
Why
A finished background session is no longer a dead end: you can pick the conversation up where it stopped.
