What
The environment variable CLAUDE_CODE_ADOPT_UNDERIVABLE_PARKED_PERMISSION is read as an on/off value. Environment variables are settings you pass to Claude Code from your shell.
A "parked" permission is a request for your approval that was left waiting when a turn was interrupted. When such a request is picked up again and then goes unanswered or is denied, Claude Code retires the actions the interrupted turn had started, so they are not left hanging. This release changes only formatting around the variable, not how it works.
Why
This is an opt-in way to recover cleanly when resuming sessions that run without anyone at the screen.
