What

Claude Code sends usage data, called telemetry, about background tasks. For tasks that are local subagents (helper agents running on your machine), it now also records:

  • the agent's type
  • whether it is a built-in agent
  • whether it came from a forked skill
  • whether the main conversation started it directly
  • whether it was launched with default settings and no working folder of its own
Why

It shows what Anthropic measures about how subagents are launched.
