Two changes to vim mode, the optional editing style that copies the vim text editor's keys:
- Yanking (copying) up to the end of the text now leaves the cursor in a different place.
- Text you type in INSERT mode is now saved for dot-repeat (pressing
.to redo the last change) in a single standard form. Characters such as accented letters, which can be stored either as one character or as a letter plus a separate accent mark, are combined into the one-character form.
Why
Pressing . should now replay composed characters, such as accented letters, the same way you typed them.
