The hint shown when you reach a usage limit has changed:
Highest Max plan (20x): the hint now reads "/usage-credits to keep using Claude Code". It appears only when extra usage is off and /usage-credits is available. Otherwise no hint is shown.
Pro and Max on the five-hour limit: the "/upgrade to keep using Claude Code" hint no longer appears once extra usage is turned on.
On the highest Max plan, /upgrade now also says you are already on the top plan and suggests /usage-credits for more usage, when that command is available. Otherwise it keeps the earlier advice to use /login and switch to an account billed through the API.
People already on the top Max plan were being told to upgrade, which they cannot do. They are now sent to the command that can actually give them more usage.
