Unclear It is not clear whether resuming a session after a rewind now continues from a different point.
Claude Code saves each session, one conversation with Claude, so it can be loaded again later. A rewind takes a session back to an earlier point. Records of a rewind now also store where the conversation was cut.
The code that loads a saved session also has a new mode. In that mode it does not send two diagnostic reports to Anthropic: one about a loop in the conversation's history, and one about a history that ends on a saved copy of files.
Separately, the built-in fallback value for the remote setting tengu_synthetic_fog, used when the server sends nothing, changed from "/cwd" to "history.jsonl".
Resuming a session after a rewind may now continue from a different point in its history.
