A remote session is one where Claude Code runs somewhere other than your own machine. When Claude Code sends a message to such a session, the message used to carry a file_attachments list describing attached files. That list is no longer sent.
Why
This changes what a remote session receives with each message. Anything that expected attached files to arrive in that list will not find them there.
