Unclear It is not clear what sets allow_chrome_tab_group_title or whether a user can turn it on.

What

A session is one conversation with Claude Code. Claude Code can now show the title of a Chrome tab group as a session's display name. A tab group is a set of browser tabs gathered under one label. This happens only when allow_chrome_tab_group_title is set.

The generation of session titles is also now listed among Claude Code's internal kinds of model request.

Why

Sessions started from Chrome can carry the same name as the tab group they belong to, which makes them easier to recognise.
