What

When you select lines in a connected code editor (IDE) or in a diff view (a view showing what changed in a file), Claude Code sends Claude a note such as "The user selected the lines ... from". The selected text in that note now goes through a new formatting step that also uses the selection and the file name. Before, it went through a plain conversion.
