What
Claude Code has a new internal step that sends an event and holds onto a sender address from an earlier reply. It is skipped when a switch set remotely is on and another condition holds. The switch is off when nothing is sent from the server.
Why
The remote switch lets the step be turned off without a new release. It does not change anything you see.
