What
A teammate is another agent working alongside Claude in a team. When SendMessage sends a message to a teammate that was not running and Claude Code restarts it to receive the message, Claude Code now records where the message came from first.
Why
This is bookkeeping for tracking how messages reach teammates. It does not change what you see when a teammate is restarted.
