When you resume a session, Claude Code can send a request to warm the prompt cache, which is the servers keeping the earlier part of a conversation so it does not have to be processed again. These requests are now treated as SDK requests when Claude Code decides how long the cache should last. The SDK is the toolkit for running Claude Code from your own programs.
So the override, the allowed list, and the choice between 1 hour and 5 minutes now apply to resume warming the same way they apply to SDK requests. Before, these requests went through the allowed-list check under their own name.
This changes how long the cache lasts after a resume, which affects cost and how quickly replies come back.
