A plugin marketplace file lists plugins you can install. Before, Claude Code only treated a file as a marketplace if it had a list of plugins. It now also recognizes one when the file:

  • Has both a plugins entry and an owner entry.
  • Has keys that fit the marketplace format and not the plugin format.
Why

You should see fewer wrong "invalid plugin" errors when checking a marketplace file.
