What
Two of the message formats Claude Code uses gain an optional field each:
own_session_author, a true-or-false value that defaults to true
tool_host
If either field holds a value in the wrong shape, Claude Code ignores it instead of rejecting the whole message.
Why
Both fields relate to remote or hosted sessions, where a session (one running conversation with Claude Code) is driven or hosted somewhere other than your own terminal. There is no new command or setting for you to use.
