When Claude Code tries to read its config file again and the disk cannot be read, it already logged the error and refused the re-read. It now also records that it cannot be sure the file is really missing.
Why
This makes Claude Code more cautious about writing a fresh config over yours after a failed read, so a temporary read problem is less likely to wipe your settings.
