What
Compaction is when Claude Code summarizes a long conversation so it fits in the model's working space. Remote Control lets text reach a session from another device.
If the conversation being summarized included text marked as coming from a Remote Control session on another device, the summary now carries a note. The note says the summary may restate that text, and tells Claude to treat it as data rather than as instructions to follow.
Why
This guards against prompt injection, where text slipped into a conversation tries to give Claude orders. Without the note, a summary could turn outside text into something that reads like your own instructions.
