What
When a local session is handed off to run in the cloud, Claude Code now keeps track of its first turn. If you press Esc before that first turn has been seen, it remembers that an interrupt is still owed. It then sends the interrupt again, naming the messages it is meant for with for_user_message_uuids and marking it as sent again.
Claude Code also changed which messages from the cloud worker it treats as a sign that the worker is still alive. It used to count any of them.
Why
An Esc pressed in the moment just after a hand-off used to send one interrupt that could arrive too early and be missed. It now reaches the turn you meant to stop.
