What
When Claude reads an artifact, the request now includes a limit on how many characters of instructions are passed through. It also includes a set of authorship details:
role
whether the artifact was co-written
whether its type is locked
whether it comes from outside your organization
Claude Code uses these details to decide how the content is presented to Claude. The check that runs before an artifact is published presents its changes from the same details.
Why
This changes how artifact content that may not be trustworthy is presented to Claude.
