Unclear It is not clear what the yield-to-person prompt shows a reader or when they would see it.
Claude Code has a yield-to-person prompt, which hands control back to a person when a request runs into certain problems. Whether it applies is now worked out separately for each reason. Remote switches decide it. These are settings Claude Code reads from Anthropic's servers.
A main switch, tengu_cosmic_crayon, is read first. If it is not on, nothing about the prompt changes. If it is on, the reasons are handled like this:
rate_limitandno_request_token: the prompt applies.server_errorandmodel_not_found: these follow a second switch,tengu_cozy_pinwheel.other, a new reason: this follows a third switch,tengu_abstract_thunder.
Before, only server_error and model_not_found were given a second check. When this site last read them, the main switch and tengu_cozy_pinwheel both came back off, for this site's account and for an anonymous account.
The new other reason has its own switch. It can therefore be turned on or off apart from the server error and model not found reasons.
tengu_cosmic_crayon Off in both readingsThe flag server returned off for the account this site reads and for the anonymous baseline. A reading of off cannot rule out a rollout these two readings sit outside of.
This account: off · anonymous baseline: off · compiled default in v2.1.317: not a boolean we can read
These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.
