Unclear What the wrap-up feature actually does is not stated.

What

Claude Code has a new wrap-up feature, decided at startup from whether prompt suggestions are on and where the session runs. The findings do not say what the wrap-up itself does.

  • CLAUDE_CODE_ENABLE_WRAP_UP, an environment variable (a named value you set before starting a program), switches it on or off directly.
  • If the variable is not set, the feature is on only when promptSuggestions is true and the session's cloudOrigin is remote or remote_desktop.
  • One further internal check can also skip it.
  • Separately, prompts that are replayed are now sent with keepsComposer, which concerns what happens to the text box you type in.

Why

Remote and remote-desktop sessions that have prompt suggestions on get this new behaviour without any action. The environment variable lets you force it on or off either way.
