What

Claude Code describes each tool to Claude with a description and a schema, which is the format the tool's input must follow. It can send these from a recorded copy.

When a particular mode is on, Claude Code now skips that step unless a remote switch, tengu_copper_ledger, is turned on. The switch is off unless it is turned on remotely.

Why

In that mode the recorded copy is no longer used for this unless the switch is on. Outside that mode nothing changes.

Feature flag
tengu_copper_ledger Off in both readings

The flag server returned off for the account this site reads and for the anonymous baseline. A reading of off cannot rule out a rollout these two readings sit outside of.

This account: off · anonymous baseline: off · compiled default in v2.1.317: off

These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.
