What

When Claude Code stops a process, it now tries to stop the whole process group, meaning the process together with the processes it started. If that fails, it stops just the one process. It also sends the signal to each child process it found.

For gentler signals than a forced kill, it skips children that are already in the same group unless told to force it.

Why

This may make cleanup of leftover child processes more reliable.
