What

MCP servers are outside programs that give Claude extra tools. If a server failed while its tools were listed, Claude was told those tools could not run. Claude Code now tracks tools from servers that have come back. When there are any, it adds a section to its message to Claude saying the earlier error no longer applies and naming the tools Claude can call now.

This is separate from the existing handling of tools that were hidden and are restored.

Why

Without this, Claude might keep avoiding tools that work again because it still trusts the old error.
