What
Claude Code has a new check that only works on Linux. It opens a folder in a way that refuses to follow a symbolic link (a file that is only a pointer to another location), then tests a given name inside that opened folder.
Why
Working through the folder that was actually opened, rather than through its path, means a symbolic link swapped in at the last moment cannot send the check somewhere else.
