What
Claude Code can pull out memories, meaning facts worth keeping for later, from a conversation. At the end of each turn (one message from you and Claude's answer), Claude Code now sends a note about where that extraction took place. If the note was never delivered, it sends it again when Claude Code shuts down and records that it had to resend it.
Why
This keeps the information about memory extraction from being lost when you exit Claude Code.
