Grep is the tool Claude uses to search the contents of your files. When a search stops because it ran out of time, a notice now appears at the top of its results. This happens whether the search was listing matching lines, counting matches, or listing matching files.
Why
Claude no longer treats a cut-off search as if it found everything. That makes it less likely to conclude something is missing when the search simply did not finish.
