What

MCP connectors are outside services that give Claude extra tools. Claude Code now recognises the Google Drive and Gmail connectors by their addresses, drivemcp.googleapis.com and gmailmcp.googleapis.com.

For Gmail, Claude Code now records usage data on what happened to an attachment:

  • Delivered
  • Not kept
  • Not saved
  • Not read
  • The email message itself could not be read

Gmail attachments that come through the connector are now tracked, and they may also be handled in a way of their own.
