What

Forking a conversation makes a copy you can continue separately. When a forked conversation had no title of its own, Claude Code used to name it after the original conversation with " (fork)" added on the end. That fallback is gone, and the title now comes from somewhere else.

Why

Forked conversations may now show different titles, for example in lists of conversations.
