What

Claude Code has new support for a Claude Docs connector. A connector is a link to an outside service that gives Claude extra tools. With it, Claude Code can:

  • recognize the connector's tools for creating and updating documents
  • build links that start with https://claude.ai/code/artifact/
  • refer to a plan document as 'the Claude Doc'

All of this works only in remote sessions, meaning sessions that run on Anthropic's servers instead of your computer, and only when a remote switch is on.

Separately, when Claude hands work to a helper, its instructions now include guidance on HTML artifacts unless CLAUDE_CODE_SIMPLE is set.

Why

In a remote session where this is on, plans and documents can be kept as Claude Docs with a claude.ai link.
