What
Workload Identity Federation lets Claude Code sign in with credentials from another system instead of a personal login. ANTHROPIC_ORGANIZATION_ID is the environment variable that names your organization for it. An environment variable is a named value you set in your shell before starting a program.
When no source location for federation credentials has been set, Claude Code now always works out the organization ID from ANTHROPIC_ORGANIZATION_ID. Before, it also required a second condition to be true first.
