What
Claude Code can now refuse to use a saved login, showing "Stored login held back". It gives one of three reasons:
- an admin setting: points you to the API key helper configuration
- organization settings could not be loaded
- a restart is needed: "Restart Claude Code to finish signing in."
Why
You may see one of these messages at startup when your saved sign-in is not used.
