What

When you resume a session and its last turn was cut off, Claude Code can pick that turn up and continue it. A session is one conversation with Claude Code.

Claude Code now checks which session the cut-off turn belongs to. If its last tool use was recorded by a different session, Claude Code treats it as copied and does not continue it. A tool use is one action Claude takes, such as running a command. This can happen, for example, after a session was forked or copied from another one.

On resume, cut-off calls to subagents, which are helper agents Claude starts for a task, are now counted as shown. Your messages also get back any plugin command they were started from.

Why

A forked or copied session no longer picks up and runs a turn that another session was in the middle of.
