What

An elicitation is a request from an MCP server (an add-on service) asking you for some information. Claude Code can now list the elicitation requests that are waiting for an answer. It does so only when a feature flag is on. Without a value from the server, the flag is off.

Why

This looks like groundwork for showing waiting elicitation requests to programs built on Claude Code, or to remote sessions.

Nothing here resolved what this flag was doing on this version, so nothing here should be read as on or off.
